RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. [September 9, 2024] – Local art enthusiasts are invited to explore their creativity and learn various art techniques during a unique experience at Boxyard RTP, the experiential dining and retail destination in the heart of Research Triangle Park (RTP).

“Live at Boxyard,” taking place on September 14, 2024, offers a variety of opportunities for guests to immerse themselves in the artistic process. From crafting leather keychains with Sunhouse Goods to participating in a moss frame workshop with Boxyard RTP’s newest Popbox resident, 1 Blossom 2 Bloom, there’s something for everyone. Super G’s live screen-printing showcase will allow guests to create take-home memorabilia while local artist Jane Cheek leads an interactive paint-by-numbers experience that will become a semi-permanent art installation at Boxyard RTP.

“I’m thrilled to bring this interactive mural experience to Live at Boxyard,” said Jane Cheek, a Raleigh-based artist. “This project is a celebration of creativity and community, offering attendees a unique opportunity to engage directly in the art-making process. By inviting individuals of all ages and skill levels to paint, cut and collage alongside me, we are creating a collective artwork that reflects the diversity and imagination of everyone involved. I’m excited to see how each person’s contributions come together to form a vibrant, sculptural mural that embodies the spirit of collaboration and shared creativity.”

Boxyard RTP’s diverse vendors and scenic environment offer members of the surrounding Triangle communities a place to meet, eat, connect and unwind inside RTP. Featuring an indoor-outdoor gathering space, dog park, performance stage and a robust event calendar, Boxyard RTP fosters a lively atmosphere that facilitates creativity and idea exchanges.

“We’re thrilled to join the innovative Boxyard RTP community as the newest Popbox resident and to participate in our first event with the venue, offering a special moss frame workshop,” said Adanna Omeni, owner of 1 Blossom 2 Bloom. “Since starting my floral design journey almost five years ago, I’ve been passionate about inspiring others and fostering joy and connection through the beauty of locally sourced, seasonal flowers. We look forward to sharing this experience with the Triangle community and bringing joy through our workshop this weekend and throughout our residency at Boxyard RTP.”

The venue is located at 900 Park Offices Drive within Hub RTP, the vibrant downtown destination for RTP. To learn more about the event and this year’s participants, visit https://boxyard.rtp.org/events/live-at-boxyard-2024/
