Durham, NC. [April 24, 2024] – Fullsteam Brewery, RTP Uncorked, Boxyard RTP and Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary have kicked off a collaboration to raise money to support the mission of Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary. Rescue Brew, an online photo competition featuring cats, dogs and other beautiful creatures, will run through June 21 with the winning entries being announced on June 26.
The winning photos will be turned into custom pet portraits by local artist, Echo Lilly Wilson. Those portraits will then become the official Fullsteam Limited Edition Rescue Brew 2024 can labels.
In addition, the top four dogs, four cats and other beautiful creatures will also be featured in the official Rescue Brew Calendar. All twelve winners will receive a professional photo session from Tamara Lackey in Chapel Hill.
“Rescue Brew is intended to be a phenomenal fundraiser and a fun way for pet owners to share their stories of rescue while encouraging votes to make their pets famous. We are excited to collaborate with Fullsteam and Boxyard RTP to raise funds to help as many animals as possible in our local area,” said Julie Paddison, co-owner of RTP Uncorked and director of Animal Rescue Operations with Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary.
Each entrant will submit a photo of their pet along with a brief description explaining why their dog, cat, or other beautiful creature is the perfect face for Rescue Brew 2024! Each photo submission requires a $10 entry fee. For voters each $1 donation buys 1 vote towards a favorite pet photo. There is no limit to the number of votes that can be purchased.
Key Dates:
April 24 – June 12: Online photo submission period via the Rescue Brew website.
June 12 – June 21: Continued voting period. No additional photo submissions will be accepted.
June 15: Dog Dad Olympics 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Boxyard RTP.
June 26: Rescue Brew contest winners announced.
July 24: Rescue Brew can labels revealed.
August 17: Rescue Brew Launch Party 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boxyard RTP. Rescue Brew will be on tap and 6-packs will be available for purchase.
