Live from Research Triangle Park, it’s Friday Night Live!

Good vibes. Good people. Good food. Good drinks. The cherry on top? Good music. In Boxyard-fashion, we aren’t boxing ourselves in with one genre. Every Friday, our container stage opens to showcase collective sounds from musicians across our region, in whatever form or fashion.

Looking for LOJO? Don’t worry! You can still jam out with us every first  & third Friday of the month.

Today’s Performers: VCT Radio

VCT Radio… Funk on the bottom, Jazz on the top. As the name might imply, Vishnu (keys), Chris (drums), and Troy (Lead bass) have become the Radio, broadcasting their unique interpretation of modern pop/rock/soul/jazz standards with fresh thoughtful funky butt-shaking originals.VCT Radio is a funk jam jazz trio burning off the groundwork laid down by such luminaries as Medeski, Martin, and Wood, Herbie Hancock, Soulive, and Booker T and the M.G.s. A set list may include, but not limited to…
Love is Stronger Than Pride (Sade)
By your Side / Whiter Shade of Pale (Sade / Procol Harum)
Hey Jude (Zydeco) (the Beatles)
Breathe / Great Gig in the Sky (Pink Floyd)
Use Me / Chameleon (Bill Withers / Herbie Hancock)
How Deep is your Love/Eyes of the World (Bee Gees / The Grateful Dead)
Eminence Front (The Who)
Footprints (Wayne Shorter / Miles Davis)
Caravan (Duke Ellington)

Our musical performances happen rain or shine under our covered Pavilion on the BeatBox stage. In the event of extreme weather, such as flooding, ice or lightning, performances will be canceled. Follow us on Instagram for updates on time changes or cancelations.
