On Wednesday, July 7, stop by Boxyard RTP to learn more about the Triangle Bikeway Study. Transportation staff will be on hand to share the latest information about this visionary plan to enhance mobility between cities and towns within the Triangle.

Local agencies are working together to plan a regional, 17-mile, shared-use path linking Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, RTP, Durham and Chapel Hill following the I-40 and NC54 corridor. The path will connect residents and visitors from across the region to places of work, popular destinations, trail networks, transit and more. The project is called a “bikeway,” but it will also be a shared-use path suitable for users of many ages and abilities on foot or bike. Shared-use paths are paved trails that are separated from vehicular traffic and used by both pedestrians and cyclists. A recommended route has been identified and the staff is eager to share it with the local community for feedback in person or online survey.
