About SoapBox:

SoapBox is a recurring event at Boxyard RTP that features different art forms. Watch along as performers from the realms of comedy, spoken word, storytelling and beyond get up on their SoapBox.

The Lineup:

Headline – Josh Rosenstein

Josh is a chapel hill based comedian. His guitar-driven act is cynical and silly and pokes fun at folk, country, and blues music from a place of love. He’s opened for Sean Patton, Dave Stone, and Dulce Sloan and performed in festivals in North Carolina, Seattle and DC.

Al-Nisa Mizchitchat

Lawson has been doing comedy for almost 8 years. Mizchitchat has brought her unique blend of humorous insights, quirky details, chitchat and storytelling to cities throughout the country. A local favorite who has opened up at the Atlanta comedy theater, the Comedy In Harlem club and the Raleigh Improv for other legendary comedians.

Alex Vashchenko

Alex is The Triangle Area’s king of one-liners. However, his unique style of humor has made people laugh all across North Carolina. Not just in The Triangle, but in cities like New Bern, Greenville, Lexington, Mebane, and more. Having been born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Alex blends his unique life experiences with his ability to write jokes that make audiences laugh in unexpected ways.

Jordan Cornish

Jordan is a comic based in Raleigh, NC. He can be most often found at Goodnights Comedy Club and Durty Bull Brewing Co.

Weston Suggs

After years as a youth group leader and public school educator, Weston Suggs finally gave up on trying to be a good person and began a career in stand-up.  He has performed in the North Carolina Comedy Festival, Bull City Comedy Festival, and has hosted for national touring acts in comedy clubs across the state. Weston got his start as the irreverent sketch comedian “Shrimp King” on social media and quickly moved his talents to the stage. His unpredictable delivery will either have you laughing uncontrollably or choking on your drink. Regardless, you’ll be gasping for air.

Host: Jenna Hall

Jenna knows more about the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey than anyone else at this party. The co-host of the Dead Girls Talking Podcast and a storyteller by trade, she travels all around the Southeast swapping cautionary tales for mozzarella sticks.
