Description of the band: The Great Indoors
The Great Indoors, an emerging indie pop/rock band from Wilmington, NC, is a young recording group, fronted by singer-songwriters Jared Stilley and Mason Marcantel, with bassist Carter Rucker and drummer Christian Verardi. The group has recently toured with a string of summer shows at venues on the east coast of NC and have received feedback from reviewers such as “bring forth lyric-centered writing and instrumentation that pulls the listener along on a meloc ride,” and “Think The Smiths, meets The 1975. Intrigued? Sharing a new and diverse sound, The Great Indoors are indeed set to resonate in a modern landscape.” Be on the lookout for their first two single releases on Spotify, which were recorded at RCRD Studios in Atlanta with Platinum Record awarded producer, Dan Dixon. The song titled “Roses” just released, while “Her” will release a month later on September 16th.
Description of the benefitting organization:
The Research Triangle Professional Engineers Without Borders (EWB-RTP), a local chapter of EWB-USA, is dedicated to building a better world through engineering projects that empower communities to meet basic human needs. Our current project is to improve the quality, quantity, and accessibility of clean water in collaboration with the community of Chipozo in Alta Verapaz. As we enter the third and final phase of the project, we are seeking funds to purchase, install, and configure the solar-powered pump system components needed for a sustainable solar-powered water distribution system.
