Today’s Musicians: The Up and Up
Broadcasting sonic waves of joy all throughout the human body to stimulate the madulla oblongata, making the heart race with the rhythm and lungs fill to the groove. Bringing together an all-star lineup of funkateers from some of North Carolina’s greatest funk bands both past and present, this supergroup is sure to represent! Combining a boisterously blissful fusion of funk, soul, jazz, blues, and rock and roll, The Up And Up’s unique sound and catchy melodies will be good to your ears!
Danceable, soulful, powerful, and uplifting are words that have been used by many to describe The Up And Up’s signature sound. With inspiration from such acts as Parliament Funkadelic, Lettuce, The Meters, Prince, Victor Wooten, The Allman Brothers Band, Curtis Mayfield, and many others, the band brings a powerful musical performance with a truly unique and amazing display of showmanship making every audience feel like they are part of the show, part of the band and part of the family– at every concert…. It’s a family affair, come and be a part of our FUNKY family!!!
Covid Precautions
– Boxyard RTP is an open-air facility that will be following all Covid-19 regulations put in place by Durham County.
– In addition to regular cleanings, complimentary hand sanitizer stations are provided throughout our facility.
– The performers will be positioned at a safe distance away from the general public on the BeatBox stage.
– If you are feeling the beats and have the urge to dance, please do so at your table with the group you came with.
