Designer Game Night: Clarence Simpson

Did you know the Triangle is home to some amazing board game designers? Join us on the 4th Wednesday of every month to meet a game designer and help them test their new game. Other board games will be out for regular play.

Tonight’s Featured Designer: Clarence Simpson

Clarence Simpson is a local game designer from Raleigh and member of the Game Designers of North Carolina. Merchants of Magick is his first published board game, and he also has several other games that are currently unannounced, but releasing later this year.

Tonight’s Game: Merchants of Magick

You are the owner of a magic item shoppe, crafting items and researching spells to sell to the adventurers of the land. But your customers are impatient and will go to your competitors if they can’t find what they need quickly. Merchants of Magick is a thinky roll-and-write game for 1-8 players that makes unique usage of polyhedral dice and customer orders that rotate around the table.

Covid Precautions:

– Boxyard RTP is an open-air facility that will be following all Covid-19 regulations put in place by Durham County.
– In addition to regular cleanings, complimentary hand sanitizer and wipe stations are provided throughout our facility.
