Tonight’s Featured Designer: Isaac Shalev
Isaac Shalev is a tabletop game designer and games educator. His published games include Seikatsu, Waddle, and Show and Tile. Together with Geoff Engelstein, Isaac has written a foundational game design text called The Building Blocks of Tabletop Game Design: An Encyclopedia of Mechanisms. In addition to designing and writing about games, Isaac also consults with nonprofit organizations to develop digital, tabletop, and social games for learning, training and advancing the public good. Isaac lives in Cary, NC with his wife, three children, and a dog. The best dog.
Tonight’s Featured Game: Tír na nÓg: The Celtic Otherworld
Tír na nÓg is an upcoming game from the Grand Gamers Guild, (publishers of Endangered and The Artemis Project). The game is about sending your bards to adventure in the Otherworld, and collecting their stories and songs into your book of epics. The game plays in about 30 minutes, and will be perfect for players who enjoy puzzle-y games like Azul and card drafting games like Sushi Go!
