SUMMARY:Poets’ Playground: Summer Social
DESCRIPTION:T.A.P. into the joys of summer at our Poets’ Playground summer social!\nOnce every season, Triangle poets, poetry lovers, and changemakers gather at Boxyard RTP to share, listen, connect, and tag-team playful, creative solutions to the challenges our neighbors face every day.\nJoin us Saturday, June 13, for a night of:\n– Poetry readings and spoken word artistry\n– Generative poetry game\n– Community building\nEach event features a local community aid initiative and an opportunity to support our neighbors.\nFeatured Artists:\nKiana Renee, also known as CraziiKi, is a spoken word poet, author, and cultural curator based in Raleigh. Her work centers on emotional honesty, healing, and the journey from heartbreak to self-discovery. Through powerful storytelling and vulnerable performance, she invites audiences to reflect on their own growth, relationships, and inner transformation. Kiana is the founder of CraziiPoets, an international poetry platform dedicated to creating spaces where writers and performers can share their voices and build community through poetry. She is also the recipient of the Raleigh SEEK Arts grant, which helped bring to life her vision of “A Walk With Poetry” — an immersive community poetry experience held during National Poetry Month that brings poets and audiences together through live performances in nature. Kiana has released two books, Mature Emotions and Mature Actions, with a third and final installment, Mature Wisdom, set to release soon. Through her performances, events, and creative platforms, Kiana continues to expand the reach of spoken word while building spaces where poetry can inspire connection, reflection, and collective healing. Hosting at least four events each year, we bring in local organizations and independent poets to deliver workshops, readers panels, poetry book fairs, open mics and more — all in a single day.\nNote: By participating in this event, you consent to the recording of your likeness, image, and/or voice and authorize Boxyard RTP to use photographs, video, and audio recordings containing your likeness, image, and/or voice in any medium for any purpose.\n\n
